This system works well for asking questions, posting new information and hosting discussions with your team. There are options for you. Basecamp is a system that allows you to create client lists, post projects and add users. You can limit the access of each of the virtual assistants which are subcontractors to their own specific area, where they will have their own username and password access.

SharePoint is another system. This system was created by Microsoft and functions in much the same way. Clients get access to some sites within the main area. They can view their work in progress and communicate questions or concerns right to you and the virtual assistance subcontractors.

As part of project management, you need to be able to track your team. If you want to rest easy, you need to know who is doing what and whether they are on time.

There is a lot in this book, but specifically it does highlight the benefits of getting a Virtual Assistant, in order to join the “new rich” and embark on a journey which will take you to the four hour work week. It’s an excellent idea, isn’t it and a lot of people have been able to achieve this. I’m excited about this, because it means us Virtual Assistants are being indirectly promoted across the globe.

The one thing that is missing in this book, though, is a section telling us how Virtual Assistants can use the book to become very rich themselves. That’s what I did and I’m enjoying it. I have just been out to the supermarket and on the way home the sun was setting behind the Spanish mountains and the fields of olive groves looked incredible in the light. This is something that I might not have seen if I had decided to stay in one place for all of my life. Probably not, and this to me is the new rich – life, living, experience, and a wealth of new impressions.

I do have to say though, I don’t work the 4 hour work week – I work a full work week. I care so much about my business, my work, my team and my clients – I enjoy being at the helm of my own virtual world, and the reason I believe I have had so much success is because I have a very old fashioned attitude toward work. You only get out what you put in, and I work very very hard, but if I want to stop at 2pm in the afternoon and go for a swim, I do.
